It went faster than my first oil change!
It only took TWO hours instead of FIVE!!(long story if you don’t remember or know).
No metallic bits in the old fluid, and more grinding shifting into 2nd at 6000rpm, because racecar!! :D
And this will be the first episode of my 944 Life YouTube series as I recorded the endeavor POV style with my gopro!
Have this Bronco I found while recycling my old trans fluid.

Changed the trans oil in the Lada a couple days ago cause it was making some funny noises and shifting pretty rough. Well, change maybe isn’t the right word... cause nothing came out when I pulled the drain plug...
But it sure shifts a lot better with
clean
some oil in it.

I was wondering, “what car could even run without trans oil?”
Oh, it’s a Lada. Nevermind. Russia wins.

Fun fact: i’ve never changed the trans fluid in any car i’ve owned. Also, in my 13 years of wrench turning, no tech has ever recommended to change the trans fluid in ANY of the brands i’ve worked for.
We just don’t do it. Techs know why.
Mechanics might recommend to do so though. It was always odd why they wanted customers to replace trans fluid manuals using ATF and especially automatics.

What’s your reasoning? I’ve only done it a couple times and never on one of my personal vehicles, but I’m considering changing the fluid in the Vette (since it’s 28 year old fluid).

A friend of mine just changed out his trans fluid with ATF in his manual fox body some time ago.
